I’ve designed a bunch of book covers in the last few years and it’s something I’ve really come to enjoy. For a long time all that mattered was that a cover would look good on the front table of Barnes and Noble. But with Amazon, e-books, and fewer space on shelves, that’s all changed. A cover now needs to read as a small 150px thumbnail, as digital art on a Kindle, and also still as a printed book with a spine and back cover. It’s a challenge, but one that has been great fun to solve.
Here are a few of the covers I’ve designed:
- A digital and print book I did for Frank Delaney.
- Cover of a book for Tekserve.
- I designed and a published a collection of short stories for Diane Meier.
- I designed a 200 page book on weddings.
- I produced a series of short stories with Frank based on his bestselling book Ireland.
